Robert Sekula is graduate of AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow, since 1996 – Ph.D. in Heating Technology and Environmental Protection. In 2014 he earned habilitation in Chemical Technology at the Cracow University of Technology. He has been working for ABB Corporate Research Centre in Cracow since 1997, where he currently holds the position of the manager of the Team of Production Technology, Mechanics and Materials Engineering. Before joining ABB he was assistant professor at the AGH Department of Heating Technology and Environmental Protection (1990-2011). He is author and co-author of over 30 patents and over 80 scientific papers devoted to heating technology, environmental protection, thermal utilisation of waste and processing of plastic materials. He is also very often invited to hold lectures at prestigious scientific conferences in Europe and worldwide, also as Invited Speaker. Moreover, he is member of the Editorial Board of the American journal Energy Sources.
